Paul comments, “My stacking has come on in leaps and bounds since the training with Kate, she has taken my confidence and technique to another level, of which I never even knew it could. People have questioned my ability to stack at this level, I don’t care, it’s my life and there is one thing in mind right now, and that is to go there for Tim so I can say to him: ‘that was for you buddy.’

I could never have got this far without Tim, and we have been on such a long journey together, through times of joy, and times of pain. Tim has suffered from his devestating injury, but the suffering and pain must stop.

I am not sure if anyone will replace my stacking buddy, Mr Tim H, he has big cups to fill. But now the pack has been split, I am alone. I train alone. I think alone. I am the lone wolf.

My stacking is tighter than its ever been before. I am so focused on the World Championship right now.”

It is evident that Kate didn’t go easy on Paul. She pushed him to the limits that he didn’t even know were possible. Not only did she pass on her top tips and tricks for stacking that make her the UK’s fastest, but she even put Paul through rigorous fitness training with ab destroying crunches. A tough programme but it is what Paul needs to get that ‘eye of the tiger.’

With the plan to train hard until the 2009 World Championships in Denver, it is known that Paul is devestated that his stacking partner was forced to retire from stackers wrist. He has now decided that he will be in Denver on the 4-5th April to represent the UK but he will dedicating his performance to his lost buddy who sadly will never be able to fulfil his dream of representing his nation on the world stage.

Paul is really serious about this and since his return for the UK, he has been training underground and nobody knows what methods he has been using.

Stopovers were made in Tijuana, Cabo San Lucas and Mexico City.

The Mexicans were a little confused with the cups but they did get involved. Unfortuantely there are no photographs available as there was some trouble nearby between the Mexican Policia (thats Police in Spanish) and the Mexican Mafia, so we packed up before we got too much attention.

The World tour sadly ends on Wednesday when we fly from Mexico City to London Heathrow.

Sosi stood forward and asked Paul if he could have a go. After taking Sosi through the 3-6-3, he gave it a go and managed to stack it without a fumble. It would have been nice to leave the cups on Vorovoro for the tribe to continue using and practicing, but my cups were needed to complete the World Tour.
It was good to see Sosi stand up and get involved with the cups. Paul made a great bond with the people on Vorovoro, vowing to return before the end of the Tribe Wanted project to see the tribe again and take them a gift of a Speed Stacks pack.

The lads were training after arriving in Fiji. They were stacking with intense speed and suddenly Tim buckled over when he twisted both wrists. He knew that something was wrong so went to the doctor in New Zealand to get them checked. The doctor had a look and did a few tests, he found that with his phenomenal developments of speed stacking skills over the past 12 months, it had taken its toll on his wrists and Tim has now been diagnosed with the most fatal injury a stacker could have; ’stackers wrist.’
The doctor says that he can stack again but his wrists will not recover for him to stack as fast as he once did. This now counts him out of any competitve stacking for life.

UK Stack Pack Coach says, “I will be responsible to help Tim in any way possible. I will see if the most advanced physiotherapy can help get him back, but if it looks like his wrists will be put at risk then he certainly won’t be able to stack again.

A great loss to a man with great skill and love for a sport. But also a great loss to the sport, with signs clearly visiable for International stardom and to give something special to the UK.

We wish Tim all the best of luck in making a quick recovery.

During dinner they talked about life, love and cups. Laura was very curious to see the cups, so after dinner, the UK Stack Pack got their cups out for her.

Paul has made a public apology to Tim for his irrashinal actions. After lunch, he just realised that he was just really tired and hungry and it was messing with his judgement. Tim accepted his apology and now they are back on form for the tour.

It allegedly started when a practical joke was played by Tim on Paul. Tim poured suncream onto Paul’s back whilst he slept on the beach of Lake Wanaka.

When he woke up, Tim told him he had written something obscene on his back and people had been laughing and taking photographs. Paul didn’t realise that Tim was joking and had only written ‘UK Stack Pack’ but he flipped, here is the result.

What will happen to the UK Stack Pack now? As their committed Coach I just hope they can sort out their differences and pull through this and start over with fresh cups.
